Two more Corroboree records set last Saturday

15 February 2022

Great to see Heidi Davidson (U13) get her first Corroboree record last weekend. Heidi has been in the club since U6 and has always been at the top end of her age group and has a great attitude towards her sport. On Saturday she equalled the 200m Hurdle record with a time of 32.64s which Lizanne Van Scheppingen set in 2015. Lizanne now does the starting on the straight track.

Rachel Giason has been after the U11 1100m Walk record since the start of the season and following a couple of tips at the Walks clinic with Mark and Darcey Roberts, she found those missing seconds and broke a record set in 2002 by Y. Kidane. The old time was 6.26.43 and the new record is 6.24.33.

Congratulations to both young ladies who are great examples of a Corroboree athlete.
